Winter Blues (and white pants)

Today, I am linking up with some incredible bloggers who created this series Style Perspective.  It’s exciting and motivating to have someone give you a fashion prompt and then to see how people interpret it, giving you so many ideas of how to style your one item. These ladies are so good at this it’s amazing and a little intimidating. :)   Check out their Blended Blog for all their style perspectives.  Thank you for putting your wonderful minds, talents and creativity together to come up with the prompts.  Today’s prompt was white pants.  Since the weather here in Saskatchewan has been unbelievably awesome this year and the snow all melted away, spring felt literally around the corner.  Over the weekend I picked out this beautifully light, airy, flower power, shirt that just screams spring is in full bloom.  I couldn’t wait to pair it up with my white pants until I woke up to this…

Needless to say I am not feeling springy (that word is not meant to be used in that context but whatever).  So instead I pulled this outfit together in a hurry this morning.  I do have to say that I absolutely love the crochet top on this shirt and though there is a dip right in the middle, it revels nothing!

The one little piece of spring that I did incorporate into my outfit today are these cute flower flats that I picked up for $10 at Walmart.  Usually I don’t purchase shoes from there but I’ve worn these around the house and they are comfy and light on my feet.

Have a wonderful hump-day!

  1. LOVE the blazer. And very cute shoes! There are a pair of Nine West flower flats I am coveting, but I like the price point on yours MUCH better!

    1. Jordan, I love Nice West shoes. I have their mid-heel pumps in three different colors and booties too. I know they are $$ but my feet love them, so if you feel like you'd get a ton of wear out of the flats you are eyeing up then they are worth it. I do have to say I was impressed with how comfy these $10 Walmart ones are though and I was on my feet all day today.

  2. THOSE flats are awesome! Also- that snow picture does look quite pretty, but ya, I'm sick of it too. Thanks so much for linking up and I LOVED your white coat today...so fun running into you!

    1. It's so great to actually meet and talk with you. I have to say, I really enjoyed your little girls personality. I don't have boys but I just feel that girls, if they are strong willed as mine are, are so much harder. Tell me your thoughts? Thanks for inviting me to link up. I really enjoy looking at other peoples take on the outfits but even more than that, I really like the encouraging community you have created.

    2. Definitely agree...strong willed is very difficult to manage, I think I struggle with it mostly because that's how I am too and I remember how bad mom and I fought. I don't want to do that with Lucy!
