Prior to Christmas the T.Swift cardigans came back in stock for 48 hours. Ever since the Life of a Showgirl cardigan dropped I had been wanting it but it had been sold out forever. So when it came in stock in November my husband encouraged me to just "buy it" instead of missing the opportunity again. And am I ever glad I did! This cardigan is not only beautiful with it's rich burnt orange color and gold sparky thread glistening in the light, but it's also excellent quality. The weight of this cardigan is soooooo nice. There is no itchy wool feeling but it's also a heavier knit, making it cozy and so warm for the those cooler temps on it's own or under a winter parka on those frigid winter days. To say that I am obsessed with it is a complete understatement. I wear it all the time and have no regrets. T. Swift fans immediately notice the trademark stars and the very discreet TS embroidered into the sweater, but most people just comment on what a lovely color and structure it is. I get so many complements on it.
Now, I may not live the Life of a Show Girl but I did want to share what a random Wednesday looks like in this full-time mom/vice-principal ladies life is. Sometimes, I wonder why I can't do all the IG posts, and blog more, and read more, and give back to my community more, etc. Then I look at my day and I realize that it's jam packed. When I am at work I basically start and I don't stop, except to take a quick bathroom break. I eat on the move and love it! Here is Wednesday, Feb. 11tth.
5:45am - alarm, got up @5:50
6:00 am - treadmill, 5km
6:45-7:30am - shower, get ready for work, breakfast and out the door. I am so thankful for the coffee that's already brewed and waiting for me when I am done my run. I take a cup to the bathroom with me while I get ready, and then I also fill my travel mug to take coffee on the road with me
7:55 am - arrive at school and let the chaos begin
4:10 pm - left the school
4:40 pm - arrived at home & immediately made 
4:50 pm - coffee & reading to unwind
5:20 pm - prepped supper, fish tacos, rice & veggies
6:00 pm - off to go coach track. So much excitement from the kids. We had three U13 teams and two U15 teams racing. Overall the kids had fun and one team made it to the finals but didn't place.
9:25 pm - arrived home from track
9:30 pm - snack & bedtime routine
9:40 pm - wine, Mr. D show & puppy snuggles
10:10 pm - Logan left for ball hockey and I scrolled while waiting for Halie to come home from work. Chatted with her and got caught up on her day.
10:30 pm - exhausted, bed and do it all over again tomorrow 
I am on winter break this week and will be sharing content on IG from our mountain getaway. I am looking forward to being in the Rockies and breathing in the fresh mountain air, as well as hitting the slopes.

Life of a mom with teens, they always want to chat when I want to sleep but I try hard to get to sleep between 10 and 10:30 so that I can function all week long.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this little peek into your day! I should do one of these.... some days are pretty laid back but the days I go help my parents are a lot more jam packed: I really have to think aloud about where I have to be and when. What a pretty cardigan: it's a great color!

ReplyDeleteGoodness, you must be exhausted with long days like that!! I remember getting up at 5:30, too, but these days I am lucky to roll out of bed before 7:00. And I could accomplish so much more if I just would get up!!
That sweater is precious. I didn't realize that it was a Taylor cardi. Just loved the shape and rich color. It's even better now that I know it is a Taylor Swift piece and has gold threads woven into it!! But of course it does!!
