Summer Office Style: Ruffles and Tassels

My favorite outfit combo for the office during the spring/summer is a dress and heels.  Easy peasy,  lemon squeezy.  Dresses are a grab and go kind of look that totally tricks others into thinking you spent time and effort to look good.  Think about it, there is no top/bottom matching necessary, you just need shoes and maybe some accessories, and done!

Now, how adorable is this dress?!?  The different shades of purple, hot this season, the ruffles and check out the adorable high neckline.  I simply love everything about this dress.  It was passed down to me from my sister, that's how I do thrift shopping without the $ tag.

Tee-hee-hee.

I threw on a white blazer for the the office, since it can be chilly with the air conditioning,  but forgot to snap a picture.  I also pulled out these  big, dangly, tassel earrings to add  a little flair to the outfit.   I've had these beauties in my stash for a few years now but they don't get worn nearly as much as they should.  Stell and Dot doesn't carry them anymore but I fournd som great options for cheap down below.

What's your summer office go-to?

Fashion Friday: Outdoor Summer Concert Outfit

The Jazz festival is a week long festival filled with great live music all over our town.  There is a free stage and several paid venues you can attend.  I love this event but unfortunately it always comes the last week of school and you usually I am so drained, and unorganized, that we don't get to experience it then way I wish we could.   Well this year it finally happened!!!!  Logan and I, along with friends hit up the outdoor concert venue to enjoy Walk Off The Earth.

They were incredible live.  Sarah Blackwood was incredibly pregnant but that didn't slow her down.  Seriously, she killed it out on that stage and looked incredible doing it (FYI, I did not resemble her in any way, shape or form, while pregnant).

This little dress from Old Navy was the perfect outfit to wear.   Pretty, flowy, boho like.  I just picked it up the evening before and it's sure to be a favorite all summer long at the beach and for patio drinks.  I see myself wearing my skinny yellow belt with it the next time, but for this evening I opted out for my bold, orange, tassel earrings.   Once the evening air cooled I through on my  bomber jacket to keep warm.  The Kate Spade wallet, along with the purse, was my gift to me when we were in Florida and I love it!  It's sold out on their website but I found one on eBay.

The Old Navy dress is Sold Out online so I am linking up this adorable, baby doll version from Zaful

Happy weekend friends and see you all next week!

Fashion Friday: Spring Ruffles

Could it be true?!?  Has spring actually arrived here in Saskatchewan?  I think so!!!!!  (though we really can never be sure)  Either way I was so excited to wear this new top and since the temperatures are still hovering around the O C mark I paired the springy look with a wool white skirt, booties and my favorite coat.  A prefect winter-spring transitional look.

As soon as I laid my eyes upon this beauty at the Banana Republic factory store in February, I knew that it was going to be coming home with me.  It has everything I love about spring/summer clothes. Flowers. Ruffles.  Pastels.  Cold shoulders.  Flowy and carefree.  I JUST LOVE IT!!!! I tried to find it online but they didn't have it so I linked two other options below.
Another important piece about this top is that it's completely work appropriate as it has nice, thick straps and then the gap that exposes the shoulders.  I have seen so many cute tops with only the spaghetti straps  and that just doesn't work for me.  I like to fill my closet with tops and bottoms that I can utilize for both work and after work as much as possible.

I plan on re-wearing this top over the weekend for Anya's skating carnival.  I am thinking of pairing it up with my dark skinny jeans or white jeans,  and possibly flats for a casual, yet stylish, mommy look.
