Welcome to another installment of Ageless Style, where you will find ladies from across North America, of different ages, styles and backgrounds coming together to share our style with you. This months prompt, styling stripes for spring 2024, is brought to you by Joanne from My Slice of Life.
I have been loving my button down white shirt for a couple of seasons so I already had my eye on the same style but wanted to add subtle stripes to it. I love a good traditional stripped tee and always have one in my closet, but since I work in a business casual environment a button down goes a long way. When I am looking for a button down, I want light weight, loose, flowy structure. I remember when button downs were super stiff and stuffy. No thank you! Anyway, I found this one at Marshalls and instantly loved that it wasn't a blue and white version (nothing wrong with that!) as I really wanted a subtle sage or buttery yellow one. I've already worn this several times and I think it'll continue to be in heavy rotation all year round. For todays post, I wanted to show you four ways I'll be wearing to work, for causal days and even into summer.
Office Style: Olive Pants, Button Down, White Purse & Nude Pumps
These wide leg trousers are amazing you guys! They are the perfect weight, don't wrinkle easily and I purchased them in petite and they are the perfect length for me, I am 5'4" for reference, wearing a size small. Awesome price point too!

That button down looks fabulous on you! I love all the different ways you styled it. Those heels are so fun, but how do you walk in them? I envy any woman who can walk in a heel like that.
ReplyDeleteHahaha. I get it Amy, heels aren't for everyone. I love a good heal but I certainly don't do it everyday like some ladies. These are really high so if I wear them to work, I also have a pair of flats if I am chasing a kid or I am working on a project that requires different movement. If I am mostly supervising, in meetings and doing admin role, then its all good.
DeleteThat does look like such a versatile shirt and those heels are so fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Great prompt, it's been fun to see how everyone has styled it.
DeleteGosh I love how you made this shirt work for so many different occasions!!
ReplyDeleteAnd those floral heels? I'm drooling!
Xoxo

I was channeling my inner Jodie and the girls for all the different looks.
DeleteI really like the addition of the pockets (with the stripes going the other way) on the chest. You look fantastic in all of these outfits, and those shoes really are fun!

One day I wore the short and two days later we had a massive snow/wind storm. Back to parkas. LOL!
DeleteI love stripes :D
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteThat striped shirt is such a great classic piece on you! I like it in all the outfits, but especially with that denim skirt :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. That denim skirt has been a work horse for me. A good purchase for sure.
DeleteWhat a great top and yes love the sage color of the stripes nice change. You did an excellent job styling it, I think my favorite look is the one with the white jeans and white crossbody.

What a versatile piece. I love sage green in anything and this button down is just adorable every way you styled it. I haven't tried the pleated wide leg pants (at least not since the '90s) but I very much like the way they look. Might need to look into that!! Those funky shoes are such fun. I have very reluctantly begun giving up heels but I love them so much. You look smashing.
