Hello friends! Valentines Day may be behind us but Jennifer from My Joyful Life prompted us to explore pinks and reds beyond V-day in todays Ageless Style post. As spring is on many peoples horizon, not mine btw, pink is the perfect color to walk into spring with. In fact, I was reading this Glamour article and they are saying Petal Pink is going to be a huge this season. Today I am showing you a few winter/spring trends and how they can mix and match for a perfect transition to spring outfit. I am combining the burgundy color that was huge over the fall/winter season, with a pink tweed jacket, and wide leg jeans. I am loving how this outfit is a little bit girly, a little bit posh and also very cool and casual. Although I wont be wearing it anytime soon as we continue to experience "extreme cold warnings" and unseasonable long stretches of freezing cold weather, I love this outfit so much that these might very well become my staples in my wardrobe for our European trip in late April.
P.S. I can't wait to take photos outside again.

Thank you.
DeleteYour indoor pictures are always so professional: your talented side job comes out! Love this cute combo and had to take a picture of it: I can recreate it! I really like the texture of your blazer: it gives it that little extra interest.

Oh my gosh, you are so kind. That little blazer is so great, my only regret was not purchasing a very similar shade of shorts to go with it.
DeleteThat is an adorable outfit. I know what you mean about missing outdoor photo shoots but your interior shots are always lovely too.
ReplyDeleteAwe, thanks. I try but indoor photos are tricky especially after work when the natural light is dimming. OH well, days are slowly getting longer and today is the last day of our three week long Extreme Cold weather warning. I can't wait to get outdoors and turn my face to the warmth of the sun.
DeleteOh, I love this outfit. It is similar to one of outfits I showed on my blog too. I'm excited to hear Petal Pink will be trending this spring.
ReplyDeleteI loved your post today and I hope you are feeling much better. I am also a sucker for any pink.
DeleteThat jacket is so beautiful...love that shade of pink on you, Bo! I really wish I could take good photos in the house, but nope! I just don't have the equipment for it, and the house is too dark anyway.

I hear you Marsha, indoors is very tricky. Usually in the winter I have to pull out my camera and the flash to make it work, but these were done quickly with a phone. Good enough is sometimes all you've got. LOL.
DeleteYour tweed jacket is gorgeous and such a great staple! Love this entire look!

Thank you so much!
DeleteI'm in love with that jacket, Bo. You really hit the nail on the head with this one.

Thank you. That's such high praise from someone as stylish as you.
DeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by.
DeleteI know you guys have been frigid up there this past week. My Regina buddy has been sending me snow photos!! Unbelievable. I know you must be looking forward to being back to outdoor picture taking. Won't be too long, I hope. We are seeing petal pink buds on the trees already!! (Thanks for linking the Glamour article - love the pink, pistachio, coastal cool)
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty pink lady jacket look. It really elevates an otherwise casual but cute jeans and tee. Your ballet flats are perfect with the outfit. I think it should definitely make the cut for your European trip. You look feminine, put together, chic and comfortable!!
