Canadian Thanksgiving was earlier in October and although it seems like a long time ago, we enjoyed a lovely weekend spending time with both sides of our family, time outdoors and cheering Halie on at her final horseback jumping competition of the season.
I started off the weekend reconnecting with friends after work on Friday. We caught up on work, family and life. We laughed and giggled, and filled our hearts.
We gathered at my aunts and uncles to celebrate my uncle's birthday and share a Thanksgiving meal together.
My dad and I showed up to the gathering dressed as twins.
Who wore the VEST BEST?
We then headed 2.5 hours away to my in-laws to spend some time with them and our nieces and nephews on my husbands side. It was a very quick trip but one filled with games, visiting and eating another delicious meal.
We also got to enjoy some outdoor time even though we had our first snowfall, which was essentially just a skiff of snow that melted away immediately.
My outfit! This year I decided to be very casual in wide leg jeans, lacey top and my vest over top. I was chic but comfortable and these Levi's have a lot of give to make sure that even if I ate a little too much, they didn't dig into me.
Along to the dinner I brought a good bottle of red wine and some Gluten Free pumpkin pie.
I know U.S. Thanksgiving a little less than a month away, what are you planning to do to celebrate and what will you be wearing?
