Ageless Style: Back to School Outfits & Link Up

Hello friends.  Welcome to the Ageless Style link-up party!  This month the theme was chosen by me and it's all about back to school.  As an educator back to school time is as important, if not more, then new years.  It always feels like a fresh start, a new beginning, and new adventures are on the horizon.  I am going into my 16th year of teaching, and 4th being a vice principal, and I love it just as much as I did at the beginning.  I was extra excited to go back to school knowing that I would be seeing peoples smiling faces as we are not mandated to mask anymore.  We all feel much more comfortable and confident, and more connected.  Don't get me wrong, I was all about doing what needed to be done to keep ourselves and each other safe, but it's lovely to begin the year off with hope and excitement of connecting in a good way with kids and their families.  I am also thankful for the routine.  I love summer but even with all the time in the world, I just can't keep up inn the same way I can when I have a tight routine without a lot of down time.  I am much more productive with everything, managing the house, chores, blogging, photography, reading, working out, LOL.

As for my outfits, I've been wearing ALL the summer clothes because we've had an unseasonably warm/hot September thus far, breaking records a few times.  It's dresses, skirt, shorts, sleeveless tops and all those lovely light layers before fall and winter arrive. Also, gone are the flip flops and high heels, and they been traded in for comfy strappy sandals and/or sneakers.  If you missed my post on Monday, it's all about taking your favorite maxi dress and styling it for fall, see here.

How does back to school impact your day to day life?

Now be sure to check out the rest of the ladies and how back to school is for them and don't forget to link up your favorite post so we can check that out!

  6. You have a lot of cute outfits! :) It's nice you are back to school - we have our spring break coming up next week and the kids are excited, then just one term to go until our summer holidays over Christmas. Looking forward to it as it's been a big year!

Hope you are having a lovely day :)

    1. Are you doing anything exciting over spring break? When you break for Christmas is it just a few weeks or a couple of months?

    2. Our spring break has been quiet - we have a few months off over Christmas so we are wondering if we should use that time to go away somewhere or stay close to home again.

  8. Great looks and I hope all is settling in well for you. As for me, I don't have littles any more and I'm retired so no "back-to-school" but I do adore Fall.

  9. Bo, these are all such fabulous looks! I really like the denim look...you look more like one of the students than the teacher! Enjoy the school year! There is truly nothing like teaching!!

    1. Hahaha. Thank you so much. I do like that we can sneak in denim on Fridays, I like the more casual vibe and sometimes I will even just opt out for jeans and a hoodie if it's been a long week, then I really blend in.

  11. Back to school is also a favorite of mine. Just because I get an excuse to wear my clothes to drop off and pick up the little guy! Lol You have so many cute outfits and I love the one with you wearing the pleated skirt and gingham shorts. Wishing you a beautiful school year and yes to no more masks!
