A Romper for the Warmest Days

Warm days and summer vacay is coming to an end, but there are still warm days ahead especially in some parts of the world. This adorable sky blue romper from Shein, is absolutely perfect to add to your summer closet. It's comfortable, roomy, easy to throw over a bathing suite for a beach day, or style it with a bodysuit like I did, and accessories to elevate the outfit. I ended up wearing this to a nearby beach town, and it was perfect for browsing shops, grabbing coffee, a beachside lunch and even hitting a short little hike. Although I try to minimize my fast fashion purchases each season, I don't feel bad with an odd one here and there, especially when I get to share it with my daughters. I feel like this will be in our closets for a few summers and it's already been worn many times and let's face it, the price is right. To counter act that, these adorable earrings were a b-day gift from my daughter purchased at a local boutique and they sold out immediately.

This is my last week at our cabin and then it's back to reality, work, routine, and structure. I am back at school on Monday, Aug. 18th and teachers arrive the week after and students start on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd.

Summer Sunsets

Beach summer sunsets are always on my "must do" summer list. What better way to unwind, relax, take in natural beauty and sit back to give gratitude for the simple things in life. We always, make the time to go to the beach for a sunset watch a few times a summer, sometimes we take wine along, always a little stereo for dancing music, beach chairs and good attitudes. This year I got to share the experience with my best friend and her daughter and that made it extra sweeet.

This oversized tee from Shein is a must have for summers. It's buttery yellow color is on point, it's one of the softest tees I have, it falls so nicely and is the perfect complement to denim shorts, also pairs well over biker shorts. I sized up to a medium to ensure that I got that oversized look. This outfit is my summer anthem. End the day with simplicity, take in natural beauty, surround yourself with people that lift and love you.

Little Black Dress: Summer Edition

Last week I showed you my LWD for summer and today I am showing you my favorite LBD (little black dress). Everyone needs a comfortable, everyday jersey dress in black or as many colors as you'd like. This is such a great addition to my closet from a local business. I can wear it all summer long regardless of the occasion, beach, errands, work, dinner out, even a casual event with some heels and accessories. It's so soft, love the fitted top, but the flowy bottom, making in never too hot or sticky to my body in extreme heat and the slit on the side just gives it a little sexy vibe. I wore this particular dress for our family photos at the beach last summer and it was the perfect mix of casual and dressed up. I'll link up a few places you can find a dress like this, there are many but my point is that you will never regret picking one or more of these dresses up because they really do go well with everything!

Ageless Style: White & Brights

Welcome to another installment of Ageless Style, where women of different ages, stages, shapes and sizes share their styles. I love this group of women because they are not only showcasing feeling good at any stage of life, but also supporting and encouraging others to do the same. Today the prompt is White & Brights!

I love a good denim skirt in the summer, but I especially like this denim skirt that got an update just by swapping out the blue denim color we are used to with a stark white. I spend most of my time in the summer in the exact same uniform, denim shorts and tank, or in a bathing suit. So slipping on a white little skirt gives my summer uniform an update while still feeling casual and comfortable. I choose to pack this skirt on our trip to Mexico this past spring because I knew it would get tons of wear during the day, it's perfect to slip over a bathing suit, but it could also easily be dressed up for dinner in the evening.

This fun and bold, palm tree, off the shoulder top was gifted to me by my sister and I immediately knew that it would pair well with the denim skirt for our beach vacay. They are a perfect contrast to one another and I loved how this outfit came together for dinner; causal, sexy, and perfectly summery.

If you are in search of how to update your summer wardrobe, a white denim skirt is a perfect example. It won't really ever go out of style, and it's so easy to add color, pattern and styles to it from what you already own in your closet!
