Ageless Style: Graphic Tees and Link-Up

Good morning friends of all ages, stages and styles.  I am so happy you are here and know I appreciate you being here with me today.  Today is the third Thursday of the month which means I am joining the ladies of Ageless Style to bring you our varied styles and variations of a prompt chosen by one of the ladies.  Today we are styling graphic tees thanks to one of the sweetest people I have met through this blogging journey.  If you haven't met Leslie from Once Upon a Time & Happily Ever After, you really should because she is kind, thoughtful, and funny.

When Leslie suggested graphic tees, I was thinking "YES, this is easy peasy."  I've since discovered that I used to have graphic tees but really don't have any at the moment, other than one Mickey Mouse and this Backstreet Boys one that I bought at a concert a few years ago.  It's massive as that's all they had and I usually wear it with biker shorts, leggings or loose over jean shorts in the summer.  I've also styled it for work with a blazer which I really like to do and the kids always comment on it and I kind of feel cool, LOL!  When I went to the mall the other day, I decided to add some edge to it with my faux leather jacket and my newly colored hair.  I am back to being a BRUNETTE baby! Anyway, I love how it came together and have a new desire to add a graphic tee or two to my collection this summer.  Next months prompt is Black & White on May 15th.

I am up, up and away early tomorrow morning for our European 10 day adventure.  I will be taking a two week blogging break but you can follow our travels and shenanigans along on IG.

It's time to go check out the other posts and link-up your own post.  Happy Easter everyone!

Fashion Friday: Graphic Tees and Skirts

I absolutely adore the look of graphic tees and skirts together, see another option here.  It's hard to believe that only a couple of years ago I didn't have a single graphic tee in my closet and now I want to collect them like I collect coffee mugs from places I have traveled.  While in Florida last week, I put this little outfit together and received several compliments while shopping at the outlet mall.  The tee I purchased from the Gap right before our trip to Paris last year and I was drawn to the peasenty (not a real word) look of the skirt.  I adore the look of high-waist skirts and tucked in, or cropped, tops.  Also the vertical stripes are a great twist to the traditional stripes and the length is perfect for chasing little children around I purchased it at Marshalls but I have linked a few other options for you below; the Twik  option below is fantastic, especially as a set.    And the fun shoes came from my aunts closet, score!

Shop this look:
Skirt:  Option 1 (similar); Option 2 (Twik option)
Graphic Tee:  Simons (many options)

Don't you love how graphic tees just give skirts a fun, modern twist?

Fashion Friday: Frayed Jeans & Graphic T's

Nothing says a casual Sunday afternoon like a graphic tee and a pair of comfy jeans.

Confession time: I only have one pair of jeans, now two, in my closet! Can you believe it?!?    I love jeans but I don't get to wear them much except on the weekends, and most of the time I just live in my workout gear.  I decided this year, not only was I going to buy a new pair of jeans, but I was going to bye a FUN pair.  I knew the raw hem trend was something I could pull off and feel comfortable  When my packages arrived last week from The Bay with all my newly purchased goodies, I quickly pulled out these jeans  on and it was just meant to be.  They are a slim fit, not too long for my rather short lower half of the body, and they sit  above the hips so I don't have to worry about bending down in them at the playground or having any sort of breeze blowing in unwanted places.

My other rather new found love are graphic tees.  Last year I started collecting them and have learned how to utilize them with blazers, skirts and pants to suit the office environment, as well as double up for my real life outside of work.  WIN-WIN. This zebra tee  came from H & M and I was unable to find it on their website but have linked several options from Simons that are fun and affordable so you can buy lots!

What is your casual go to outfit for spring?

Have a great weekend everyone!
